Head & Spinal Trauma

Trauma in Pregnancy

Trauma in Children

Trauma in the Elderly

Trauma & Cardiac Arrest

Patients “Under the Influence” of Alcohol or Drugs

Skills Practice Stations:

Basic & Advanced Airway Management

Vehicle Extrication & Use of Extrication Devices

Use of Spinal Immobilization Devices & Splinting

Thoracocentesis

Intraosseous access

Patient Assessment

Patient assessment & treatment scenarios

Successful completion

1. Accredited for 25 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) (Incl. 2 x Ethic’s CEU’s)

2. Each successful candidate will receive an International Trauma Life Support

certificate upon completion of the course – endorsed by the American College of

Emergency Physicians (ACEP) and the National Association of EMS Physicians

(NAEMSP)

1. Basic or Intermediate Life Support Providers (BLS or ILS HPCSA qualification)

3. All registered allied Health Professionals

4. Fire Fighters, Police Officers, Security Officers & Life Savers

5. All emergency “First Responders” / Civil Protection / Mountain & 4x4 Rescue
